Senior DevOps Engineer - Ethereum RPC Node Pool & Backend Focus

Key Responsibility:

Infrastructure & Deployment
- Design and deploy Ethereum nodes (Geth, Nethermind) across multiple hosts or availability zones
- Automate provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar
- Deploy and operate a complex backend system on Runcloud.AI
- Leveraging services like

Load Balancing & Health Checks
- Configure and manage a load balancer or reverse proxy - (HaProxy, Nginx, Traefik) to route traffic to healthy Ethereum nodes
- Implement health checks (via etc_syncing or customer endpoints) to automatically remove unhealthy nodes from rotation

Monitoring & Alerts
- Set up a monitoring stack (Prometheus + Grafana or equivalent) to track node metrics (block height, sync status, resource usage)
- Configure alerting and nodes health issues, performance degradation, and thresholds for healthy nodes
Integrat other third-party tools to monitoring the broader backend system

Scalability & Resilience
- Continuously optimize and scale the environment to accommodate growing traffic and maintain high availability
- Design for fault tolerance, including multi-region or multi-AZ setups
- Implementation auto-scaling polices on RUNCLOUD.AI or both the - Ethereum nodes and the backend system

Security & Maintenance
- Maintain security best practices (network segmentation, access controls SSL/TLS certs)
- Manage rolling upgrades and patches minimal downtime
- Enforce IAM(Runcloud.AI rules) polices, security groups, and VPC configurations in RUNCLOUD.AI

Requirements:
- Experience DevOps/SRE, preferably with blockchain or high-availability platforms
- Experience deploying and operating complex backend systems on cloud
- Strong knowledge of contianerization(Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines , and IaC(Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with Ethereum nodes clients(Geth, Nethermind, etc) and associated tooling
- Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and - Linux server administration
- Experience with observability/monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana. ELK)
- Proficiency with load balancers and reverse proxies (HAProxy, Nginx. Traefik)
- Multi-region or multi-cloud deployment experience for fault tolerance and redundancy
- Familiarity with smart contract development or other blockchain security
- A successful track record in DeFI engineering
