Senior C/C++ Developer

Position Summary:
Adobe Systems Incorporated is seeking a highly technical Software Engineer to join the Omniture SiteCatalyst HBX team. This Software Engineer will directly contribute to the further development and maintenance of the product. The position is based in our Moldova offices within the Omniture Business Unit of Adobe.

Responsibilities:
Maintain mission-critical data collection, aggregation and API components in a SaaS architecture
Write software within extremely tight constraints on performance, concurrency and reliability
Communicate effectively with immediate management about issues, risks, benefits and progress
Take ownership for software quality by working closely with QA throughout the development cycle
Propose and document test cases as well as review QA test plans
Write technical proposal documents and estimate schedule for features and issue resolutions
Actively participate in the decision making process

Requirements:
Strong background in C/C++ on Linux or Unix platforms including multi-threaded programming, network programming, and database programming
System level programming in the areas of networking (TCP/IP, UDP) and threading
Demonstrable background in shipping successful software products
Played an instrumental role in all phases of the software development lifecycle
Strong communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions in terms that others can understand both in written and in non-written form
Able to work individually and as a team member in meeting commitments and achieving results
Experience writing software for high performance systems responsible for managing very large data volumes--ideally in a SaaS environment
Experience with large scale RDBMS (preferably Oracle and MySQL)
Experience with network protocol stacks and network communication (preferably TCP/IP, UDP and HTTP/HTTPS)
Experience in and working knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby, Unix Shell Scripting)
Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience 5 or more years experience in software engineering
