Senior BI Developer (Contract)

We’re Lole Works, a data analytics and BI consultancy helping finance teams move from spreadsheets to automated, reliable reporting.
We’re looking for a Senior BI Developer (freelance/contract) based in Moldova to support a short, focused project (~45 hours), with the option for continued collaboration on future work.
What you’ll work on

-Design and build a small but solid BI infrastructure using:
-Power BI (data model + reports)
-Azure SQL (data warehouse / reporting DB)
-ELT/connector tools (Fivetran)
-Build clean, well-structured data models from accounting + Excel sources.
-Create finance-focused reports (P&L, BS, CF, budget vs actuals, transactional drilldowns).
-Ensure automated refresh, monitoring and minimal-maintenance setup.
-Collaborate closely with our team (and occasionally client-facing) in English.

Requirements
-4+ years hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, performance tuning).
-Strong experience with SQL and at least one cloud DB (Azure SQL preferred).
-Experience building end-to-end pipelines from multiple sources (APIs, CSV/Excel, cloud tools).
-Comfortable with financial / accounting data (P&L, BS, CF, classes, GLs) or willing to learn fast.
-Good spoken and written English.
-Must be based in Moldova.

Engagement & Rate
-Contract project ~ 45 hours (with potential for ongoing work).
-Rate: $22–$30 per hour, depending on experience and fit.
-Remote work, flexible hours, but with clear deadlines and check-ins.
