Safety Department Manager

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Safety Department within our transport and logistics company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to a safe and efficient working environment across our operations.

Responsibilities may include:

Monitoring and enforcing safety policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance with transport and logistics safety regulations
Supporting accident prevention and risk management activities
Collaborating with operational teams to promote a strong safety culture

SAFETY MANAGER JOB DUTIES
• Ability to open MC/DOT
• Familiar with IRP accounts (Open Account, Maintain Acount and able to perform all duties when it comes to adding a truck/trailer, register a truck and maintain fleet documentation as needed)
• IFTA ( Open account as needed, maintain IFTA account, be able to pass a IFTA audit, IFTA mileage calculation)
• ELD (Create ELD accounts for Drivers)
• DOT AUDIT ( you must be able to pass an Audit, have experience successfully passing an Audit and fully understand what an Audit requires)
• Permits ( Oversize, Overweight and Over length permits) (Must be able to open accounts with all states for permit requirements, when driver requires a permit, in a timely manner you should provide our driver with the required permit ) Answer driver questions about permits and which one he will we require for that specific state or states he is driving through.
• Overall company compliance and Safety Regulations (Identify inspections, Dispute inspections) ( Experience with Data Q ) (Instruct drivers on how to avoid violations)
• Working with our Lawyer data base on disputing tickets, Scheduling court dates and helping drivers’ various tickets .
• Languages : Russian, English ( Must be able to converse with Drivers and various government institutions )
• Driver Paperwork ( Make sure every driver has all the necessary paperwork for his
truck/trailer to avoid unnecessary violations) ( Annual inspections/ Registrations/ company docs)
• Insurance ( Add drivers, Remove drivers, Various insurance inquires, promptly answer any insurance requirements. )
