QA Engineer

We’re hiring on behalf of a fast-growing European EdTech company dedicated to creating engaging and personalised learning experiences for children through mobile apps and digital platforms. Their cross-functional teams are working at the intersection of education and technology, delivering playful learning content that reaches hundreds of thousands of families across Europe.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join the app team for a year-long mission. Your core responsibility will be to design, implement, and evolve automation frameworks that ensure product reliability across the board — from app functionality to gameplay behavior. You’ll be working on a React Native mobile application that integrates Unity-based gameplay through a custom-built bridge.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who’s confident in building robust automated test suites and comfortable navigating hybrid environments involving both mobile and gaming components.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the development team to align on test coverage and quality goals
- Build and maintain automated tests for mobile app functionality, as well as gameplay-specific flows
- Assess and optimise our current use of Detox for React Native, and research testing frameworks suitable for Unity-based automation
- Extend automated coverage to API integration tests where applicable
- Ensure tests are seamlessly integrated into the CI/CD pipeline and support developers with local test execution setups

What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience with QA automation for mobile applications
- Familiarity with React Native testing tools (e.g., Detox or similar frameworks)
- Curiosity and technical flexibility to explore and implement gameplay testing automation, ideally with Unity
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD workflows
- A proactive mindset and strong collaboration skills
