Project coordinator

The Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (dvv international) is the German non-profit NGO working internationally in the fields of youth and adult education and lifelong learning dvv international implements projects in the Republic of Moldova aimed at combating poverty, strengthening adult education system, promoting non-formal adult education. Since 2010 dvv international has a representative office in Chisinau. Non-profit organization dvv international Moldova is announcing a vacancy for the full-time position of the Project coordinator.

Major responsibilities and duties:
• Support of partner-organizations in developing projects and monitoring of their implementation;
• Assistance to partner organizations in accurate documenting and correct reporting;
• Participation in project proposal writing for additional fundraising;
• Participation in organizing of adult education activities, events and in duly reporting.
• Involvement in fostering the positive image of the organization: maintenance relations with media, developing informative materials etc.
• Participation in preparing publications to be published in Moldova.
• Information collection, data procession and analysis for reports, publications and presentations.
• Informational maintenance of web page.
• Translation, of materials from English (and German, if applicable) into Romanian (and Russian, if applicable) languages and vice versa upon need.

Requirements:
• University degree in education, political studies, economics, management, or other relevant fields;
• Demonstrated understanding of education sector (vocational education, adult or non-formal education) and of development issues;
• Project management skills – at least 3-year experience in project activity or management activity in an NGO.
• Basic budgeting and project financial management skills;
• Experience in fundraising and projects proposal writing, preferably understanding and skills in dealing with EU rules and regulations;
• Good reporting and presentation skills;
• Fluency in Romanian and English is must;
• Knowledge of Russian and German would be an asset;
• Computer literacy.
