Job Summary
The Optimization engineer job role purpose is to improve the overall service quality to ensure business consistency.
Optimization engineer is responsible for performing activities on the "live" infrastructure (telecom network, IS/IT infrastructure, services and applications) in order to secure optimal performance, improved capacity utilization and distribution of the resources and services, by acting on each domain together or separately.
Optimization activities include:
- Periodical audits of Radio parameters and correction of inconsistencies
- LA/RA optimization
- RF/SC planning optimization
- Support for HW/SW acceptance tests
- Special events real time fine tuning
- New/modified site fine tuning and acceptance
- Daily activities (worst cell lists, customer complaint analysis, etc.)
- Measurement s analysis
- Highways and roads optimization
- Benchmarking
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Infrastructure Capacity, performance Analysis & solution definition and solution implementation coordination.
- Capacity management & performance Improvement
- End-user Quality of Service Optimization
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Good knowledge of GSM and UMTS radio systems, LTE is a plus.
- Experience in Optimization or Planning&Design RAN.
- Hands-on optimization activities.
- Good understanding of radio environment related to mobile communications.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Hands-on with tools like TEMS, Actix or similar.
- Experience, on multiple vendor equipment is a plus, with parameters and radio features: Ericsson, Huawei, NSN, Alcatel, Nortel, etc.
- Hands-on with mapping and prediction tools like Asset, GIS or similar.
- Experience with different Performance Management Tools (NetAct, Nastar, Eniq, NPO, etc.)
- Troubleshooting and customer complaint management.
- 2G, 3G and LTE experience on multiple vendor solutions.
