Operations Manager — Reefer Dispatch

We’re a fast-growing American logistics company expanding our refrigerated (reefer) operations. We’re seeking a hands-on Operations Manager (Reefer Dispatch) to lead a high-performing team, scale processes, and deliver outstanding results for our drivers, brokers, and customers.
What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a team of reefer dispatchers (hiring, training, performance, schedules).
Own daily operations for a multi-truck reefer fleet: planning, load coverage, routing, and service recovery.
Monitor cold-chain integrity and appointment compliance; minimize delays, layovers, and claims.
Negotiate with brokers/carriers; maximize revenue per truck, reduce empty miles, recover accessorials (detention/TONU/lumper).
Track and improve KPIs: OTD%, RPM, revenue per truck/week, empty mile %, claim rate, driver retention, customer scorecards.
Drive cross-team collaboration (Safety, Accounting, Recruiting, Maintenance).
Standardize SOPs, shift handoffs, and TMS/dispatch workflows; escalate issues quickly and decisively.
Handle customer escalations professionally and keep stakeholders informed.

What We Expect

2+ years in U.S. trucking operations with reefer dispatch experience; 1+ year leading a team.
Strong English communication (Russian/Romanian a plus). Calm under pressure, solution-driven.
Confident with TMS/ELD/dispatch tools and load boards; Excel/Google Sheets basics.
Proven broker negotiation skills and understanding of cold-chain specifics (appointments, lumpers, temp control).
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with the 15:00–00:00 schedule.
