Network Engineering

Mandatory Work Functions:
• Designing documentation of IP Networks: Creating documents for engineers and engineering management to implement IP Networks.
• Designing IP Networks: Typically these would be a complete Network Design of IP Networks used for Testing and QA purposes. However, this could extend to Operational Networks as well.
• Implementing IP Networks: This would entail working with test engineers to implement designed networks and providing expert support to make those networks active.
• Configuring all IP appliances: Expertise in configuring IP appliances including Routers.
• Ensuring that Networks perform to requirements: This would include monitoring networks to ensure that design criterion is met. This would also include providing requirements for developing test tools to ensure that monitoring criterion is met.
• Customizing IP Networks: Expertise in designing IP networks in the areas of prioritizing Wi-Fi, VoIP, IP security rules.
• Designing IP Network monitoring and analyzing tools.
• Ability to work across time zones in a highly challenging environment.

Experience Required:
• Experience in the IP networking industry with strong emphasis in TCP/IP, routing protocols and routers.
• Ability to integrate network devices and applications like Web, VoIP, Wi-Fi, Radius server, Terminal Servers and routers.
• Background in handling CISCO or equivalent devices (Juniper, Sonicwall)
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environment
• Experience with using various network management systems preferably on IP networks.
• Hands on working experience with Linux Systems.
• Hands on experience on Wi-Fi networks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Education and Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent – Engineering
• Cisco Certification (or equivalent).
