MS SQL DBA

The Managed Services team operates Endava’s and client’s infrastructure across different countries. Role:
Our DBA team overlooks after number of worlds’ highest ranked traffic sites on the web and our server farms play a big role in serving up all those pages. As a member of DBA team, your efforts to maintain, troubleshot, monitor, automate and tune our systems means the site runs itself. The team works together to develop, maintain and roll out changes and features in very short time frames. Your monitoring and maintenance work today ensures our client’s sites are up and running tomorrow.

Responsibilities:
Provide solutions for database issues including capacity, redundancy, replication, and performance.
Monitor the system performance to ensure that the system has sufficient resources to continue to process production traffic.
Maintain database security and patches. Install databases and application packages.

Requirements:
Proven MSSQL database administration experience.
Experience with MS SQL 2000,2005,2008 database technologies, Clustering, Maintenance Plans and Replications.
Experience with T-SQL development on Administration level.
Knowledge of MSSQL database architecture.
Experience in performance tuning.
Experience in supporting high-availability high transaction volume applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Oracle 10g/11g database technologies will be an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
