Monitoring and Evauation Adviser

UNITED NATIONS JOINT PROGRAMME ON HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) MOLDOVA

Announces the recruitment of a Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser to strengthen the Joint UN Programme’s contribution to effective national leadership and strategic management of HIV/AIDS country programmes, to facilitate and support the development and strengthen national systems and national capacity to monitor and evaluate HIV/AIDS situations and responses and to utilize data for programme planning and implementation.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser will work under the direct supervision of the UNAIDS Country Coordinator and will be responsible for supporting the development and strengthening of national Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, facilitate and support the collation and utilization of data to inform policy and strategy on HIV/AIDS, including the mobilization and allocation of national and international resources.

Requirements for the applicants:

- Studies in Sociology, Medicine, Public Heath or other relevant field.
- Previous experience in liasing with health authorities, NGOs, international organizations, mass-media representatives;
- Experience of working in a busy office, unsupervised;
- Interpersonal communication skills;
- Organizing skills;
- Analytical thinking and problem solving;
- Work-planning, Monitoring and Evaluation;
- Ability to work in cross-cultural environments;
