Market and product development manager in Republic of Moldova

SAATEN UNION is a European wide active seed company with headquarter in Germany.
SAATEN UNION is breeding, producing and selling seeds of all important agricultural species as wheat, barley, sunflower and maize.
We are currently looking for the best candidate to fulfill the position of Product and Market Development Manager for developing Saaten Union Romania products and increase sales of maize, sunflower-hybrids and winter cereals in Republic of Moldova

Your tasks:
• Maintain stable relationships with selected distributor, direct supporting our important customers
• Looking for new direct customers
• Participate in marketing strategy planning
• Professional variety consultancy at clients and officials: giving technical advice for correct and optimal use of Saaten Union products in order to generate demand
• Initiating and assistance at marketing activities (field days, symposions, our distributors managers training)
• Writing and publication of articles in agricultural business reviews
• Monitor offers, price and discounts
• Monitor and analyze sales result
• Achieve sales target
• Provide timely and accurate forecasting
• Organising, supervising and evaluating field trials: screening, demo , and official testing
• Contact to testing units and authorities
• Identification and development of new Saaten Union varieties that are adapted to specific market conditions in Republic of Moldova
• Relationship with local breeders and potential research partners
• Close cooperation and communication with local SAATEN UNION – branches as well as with Saaten Union Romanian product managers and Export Department;
• Weekly reporting and directly to Saaten Union Romania

Skills and Experience:

• University Education in Agriculture
• Minimum 3 years practice in Seed Business
• Experience within product marketing area
• Good personal initiative
• Good knowledge of Romanian, English and Russian languages
• Good command of computer MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• B Driving license
• Excellent negociation and customer relation skills
• Passion for sales and target-based performance
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work well under time pressure
