Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a logistics team of 10 people, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and challenges․
- Ensure team members receive proper training to excel in their roles, while monitoring and adjusting workloads for optimal efficiency․
- Foster a collaborative environment and remove any obstacles hindering team performance․
- Use existing metrics to assess performance and suggest improvements or new metrics to better control logistics operations․
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities․
- Assist in staff training and performance evaluations to maintain a high level of customer service․
- Maintain clear communication with team members and management to resolve customer concerns․
- Stay updated on market trends and conditions․
- Drive performance towards meeting business goals and KPIs․
- Manage all communication in accordance with company policies and address customer complaints, escalating when necessary․
- Supervise and organize team activities to ensure smooth operations․
- Identify areas for process improvements within the logistics department․
- Be available outside regular hours or on weekends to provide operational support and guidance to your team, serving as the first point of contact․
- Manage daily staffing, schedule rotations, and ensure adequate break coverage․
- Address issues and gaps in the process by implementing effective solutions․
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (communication skills are a must)․
- Strong ability to read, write, and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication)․
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively solve problems and communicate with both customers and team members․
- Ability to analyze data and generate various reports as needed․
- Proven team-building and interpersonal skills․
- Project management experience and audit knowledge is a plus․
- Flexibility, strong work ethic, and the ability to perform well under pressure․
- At least 1−2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred․
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the expedite logistics market․
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities․
- Proficient in Excel for report creation and data management․
- Ability to adjust priorities as needed․
- Capability to prepare routine reports and correspondence․
- Be a role model for your team, demonstrating hard work and top-tier results․
