Position: Junior Java Developer

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

 Will have at least 1-2 years of experience developing production
quality commercial software
 Reviews, analyzes, and modifies existing software systems including coding, testing, debugging, and installation
 Create the functional and technical specifications used to implement solutions at an enterprise level.
 Conducts hands-on application development of software and technology leveraging Java, JDBC, J2EE (JMS, JSP, Servlets, Web Services), JFC, Java Swing, SQL server, XML, XSLT, Tomcat, Topic Map technology, RDF, Linux
 Create Integration and Unit test plans, perform integration/unit testing based on documented test plans, and document results of the test plan execution
 Delivers artifacts within planned time lines
 Understands and applies organization's processes, procedures, design, coding and quality standards
 Communicates status of work in a timely fashion
 Works independently and is as well a team player
 Conducts reviews and evaluations of the work completed by peers
