Java software engineer - sustained engineering

Overview
Sustained Engineering team it's a critical part of our development department which focuses primarily on product engineering after it was released to the market. Responsibilities of the team includes but not limited to: debug and fix the customers production issues, performance tuning, new features development.
As a member of this team, you will have the oportunity to learn about some great Java-based products used by medical insurance companies in US. You will learn and understand how distributed enterprise-scale products are built and works. Will be exposed to the business processes inside large insurance companies.
Requirements
 BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
 Good Java development skills.
 Knowledge of Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Multi-threading.
 Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle
 JavaScript / HTML / XML / CSS / XSLT / XSD knowledge.
 Team Player / Quick Learner / Uncompromising integrity.
 Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
 Communication skills in English sufficient for working with documentation
Bonus Qualifications
 Experience with large-scale enterprise java application
 Knowledge of Java debugging tools and techniques (remote debugging, jhat, jmap, jconsole, etc.)
 Groovy, Grails, Spring, OSGi experience is a plus.
 Experience with Unix-like systems
 SVN / Ant / Maven knowledge.
 Knowledge of J2EE Application Servers (Tomcat / GlassFish / JBoss / WebSphere).
 Experience in working with ORM frameworks. Hibernate is a plus.
Responsibilities
 Troubleshoot, debug and provide workaround / fixes to client issues.
 Working closely with the client, identify, analyze and drive customer issues to closure.
 Provide hands-on development and maintenance of the software applications/modules
 Working in a cross-functional team, ensure fixes are well documented and tested.
 Maintain and support current system and ongoing beta programs.
 Perform code and design review.
