Java programmer

Our Client is looking for a competent and experienced new colleague to take up the role of Java programmer in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. The position will allow the candidate to create software applications, to address challenging real-world business and industrial problems.

Responsibilities:

Perform software design and development in accordance with the organizationalstandards
Participate in quality assurance activities within projects
Articulate business requirements, user stories
Create acceptance criteria and utilize them as a basis for implementation and validation of solutions
Interpret architectural diagrams
Read and understand design specifications for medium – complex solutions
Basic understanding of effective design practices including UML and Design patterns
Propose design solutions for small to medium problems aligned to product architecture
Implement well structured, reusable and unit tested code in line with design direction
Document code consistently and comprehensively in line with organization coding standards
Participate in quality assurance reviews for design and code
Understand and embrace the Agile software development framework

Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science of Information Technology or equivalent
Knowledge of Java SE 6, SQL, JUnit, OOP, Design Patterns, Ant or Maven,understanding of data structures and basic algorithms
Positive work attitude
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Good technical outcomes
Permanently working in the direction of professional improvement and constantlearning
Reliable and punctual
