ABOUT US
Bluebay news is a startup. It is a crowdsourced news platform, helps citizen journalists to create high quality articles. Bluebay news is a subsidiary of bluebay investment consultants. We are based in Sweden, Stockholm.

ROLE
We have a web application written in J2EE, EJB, JSP. The candidate should improve the existing code, and develop new features, fix the bugs. You should be able to work independently or in group. You should be able to install and configure the web application on Linux server.

You should be willing to travel to Stockholm, Sweden. We will provide visa and cover all the travel expenses.

SCHEDULE: 15 to 20 hours / week

RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding requirements through use cases, wireframes, flow charts
Understanding the existing code and develop new features.
Bug fixing, troubleshooting
Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
Should be able to install and configure the web application,
Should be able to install and configure glassfish, MySQL and Linux
Documentation: Writing use cases, and system management manuals.
Social media integration (Facebook / twitter / Google / Youtube)

REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in J2EE, EJB, JSP
Familiar in J2EE Framework: Struts
Working experience in MySQL Database
Experience in the following technologoes
Web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML
Glassfish Application server
revision control system: GitHub
performance tuning
Installation and configuration of web applications
working with Linux commands
working with character encoding schemes UTF-8 in java
