IT Specialist

The company:
A well-known international company.

The main duties:
Network administration, user support, business support reporting, solution verification activities, and IT budget related activities.

The responsibilities:
• Network administration – Maintains existing IT network, including servers, routers and links to other sites and to the corporate data centers. Handles back-up procedures according to local policy;
• User support – Provides first level support for local users. Maintains PC’s, printers, copiers, UPS, and telephone systems. Ensures proper implementation of corporate IT policies, especially security policies. Assists users with a variety of technical issues;
• Verification activities – Tests new or enhanced programs that have been; developed for the market prior to deployment to ensure that the programs meet the stated business requirements. May assist the regional QA team on occasion;
• IT budgeting – Develops recommendations for equipment and software purchases and support agreements, negotiates with vendors to obtain best possible quotes and with the regional and corporate teams to determine the best solutions.

The requirements:
• A university degree in an IT related field;
• Minimum 2 year previous work experience in a fast paced IT environment;
• Knowledge of PC hardware and software, exchange and server administration, Windows operating systems;
• Experience troubleshooting user problems;
• Experience maintaining a small business network;
• Experience with ACCESS, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, WORD, and other Microsoft Office packages;
• Experience with SQL is an advantage;
• Microsoft MCSE is an advantage;
• English - good conversational level (both written).
