IT Consultant

The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) seeks Moldovan candidates to fill the positions of IT Consultant (ITC). Sponsored by the US Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Citizen Participation Program (CPP) is a five-year program to assist citizens in using democratic process and individual initiative to improve living and social conditions in local communities throughout Moldova.
The IT Consultant will fulfil the following duties:

 Configure, maintain and monitor ISP services in the Chisinau office including coordination.
 Install licensed software programs and ensure that CPP computers do not contain pirated versions of software
 Install and maintain printers.
 Ensure secure operation of all servers and services through use of virus defence systems and Windows-based security systems.
 Research, install and test software updates to supported applications and various operating systems.
 Configure and deploy personal computers. Install operating systems, email accounts, IP addressers, etc.
 Troubleshoot user problems including access, applications, printing, etc.
 Diagnose and facilitate repair of non-warranty technology in CPP offices.
 Maintain IREX CPP website
 Make regular trips to the field to ensure computers are operating to capacity.

Candidates must have a degree in Informational Technologies and/or related work experience, and the ability to Multi-task. Candidates must also have ability to meet deadlines.
