JOB SUMMARY

The GSD (Global Services Delivery) is the technical network interface for the network owners and their customers; ensuring our customers’ networks and their customers’ services are operating at an optimum level, while retaining and improving the expected network standards and integrity.
The GSD engineers use their TELECOM skills and knowledge of systems and procedures to maintain and develop customers’ networks and services with the primary aim to maximize network availability for their customers.

GSD Fulfillment engineer is responsible for the following tasks but not limited to: integration, configuration and migration of NEs and associated services. It assists the field staff for the integration / configuration of new sites/ infrastructure links, but also can support complex swap/ migrations operations.
The engineer ensures ongoing best practices, as well as the latest client instructions are being applied.


IP Fulfillment Engineer

Requirements:

- Advanced technical college/University of applied science in telecommunication, networking.
- 2 or more years of related experience, with focus on IP/MPLS. Hands-on experience in the following areas: Alcatel Lucent Service Router, Cisco or Juniper.
- Know how in the following protocols and technologies: IP, TCP/UDP, VPN, MPLS and protocols like LDP, ISIS, RSVP, MPLS-TE .
- Knowledge and experience of MPLS L3VPN, MPLS L2VPN (PW, VPLS).
- Knowledge of the switching technologies such as VLANs, VTP, STP or Ether-channel/link-aggregation.
- Hands on experience with routing protocols OSPF and BGP with route-redistribution, route-filtering and PBR using ACLs, Prefixes, route-maps.
- Certifications such as CCNA, NRS1 are mandatory while CCNP, JNCIA, NRS 2 (or equivalent) would be a plus.
- Experience on Alcatel-Lucent platforms like 7750, 7210, 7705 is important.
- Experience on one or several multi-vendor platforms like Cisco (N7K, 76xx/65xx, 29xx, 35xx, 45xx, ASR, CRS), Juniper (MX960, SRX) and Ericsson SE-100,600 series devices would be a plus.
- Relevant experience in IP/MPLS in a technical support environment.
- Good team player, flexibility of integration in a dynamic team.
- Customer oriented way of working.
- Analytical mind with good problem solving skills and able to work independently.
- Good communications and documentation skills.
- Language Requirements: English is mandatory, French, German and/or Russian would be a plus.
- EU citizenship


Key Responsibilities:

- Work with customers to activate services and assist with problem resolution as required, analyze design solution.
- Configuration management: Configures network elements according to the agreed LLD/HLD.
- Updating of technical documentation associated with each implementation.
- Maintains & tracks the evolutions of the solution configuration along the project lifecycle.
- Assist remotely the field staff for the integration / configuration of the equipment or during planned works/ incidents.
- Design and support in developing software scripts (UNIX/LINUX environment) for automatic tasks (customer data analysis, automatic preventive maintenance, etc.)
- Execute proactive maintenance (regular tasks).
- Creating, updating and following all the work orders/tickets in their responsibility with proper granularity and accordingly to timelines.
