Driver Recruiter / HR Specialist – US Trucking Industry
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Compensation: $1,200–$3,000 monthly (based on experience & performance)
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Driver Recruiter / HR Specialist to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Driver Acquisition
Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified CDL drivers
Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networking
Review resumes and applications for qualifications and DOT compliance
Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess skills, safety mindset, and cultural fit
Build strong relationships with driving schools, industry organizations, and training partners
Hiring & Compliance
Coordinate all hiring steps, including background checks, drug screenings, and DOT physicals
Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and internal company policies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the ATS
HR Strategy & Workforce Development
Align HR initiatives and recruitment efforts with company goals
Work with leadership on workforce planning and staffing strategies
Collaborate with internal teams to implement creative retention programs that support long-term driver success
Data & Process Improvement
Track and analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs
Recommend improvements to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate experience
Continuously refine recruitment processes based on performance insights
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of verifiable experience in the U.S. trucking/transportation industry
Proven experience recruiting CDL drivers (OTR, regional, or local)
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and driver qualification standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented, proactive, and effective in a team-driven environment
Experience working with ATS platforms and digital recruitment tools
