Job Purpose:
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This role is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an efficient and pleasant dining experience at the Hotel.
General Requirements:
• Report to work on time, professionally dressed, and ready 10 minutes before shift.
• Maintain a neat and presentable appearance at all times.
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be polite, friendly, and professional with guests and team members.
• Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
• Attend scheduled trainings and team meetings.
• Show a proactive and positive attitude in guest service.
• Keep guest information and restaurant operations confidential.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waiting lists effectively using the reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables promptly and assist with seating arrangements.
• Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials or promotions.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the wait staff to ensure smooth table turnover and seating flow.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and entrance area.
• Monitor guest flow and communicate any delays or special requests to the team.
• Assist with telephone answering and reservation taking when required.
• Support the restaurant team during busy service periods as needed.
Technology Competence:
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation and seating management software.
• Basic computer and telephone system skills
Knowledge of English language is required.
