Full-Stack Engineer

Full-Stack Engineer – CriticalImpact Email Marketing Platform
We are looking for a strong Full-Stack Engineer to help maintain and evolve our CriticalImpact email marketing platform. This role is hands-on and involves supporting our existing Java/JSP/MySQL application, building new backend services using Java & Spring, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the existing Java/JSP web application and MySQL database.
- Design and build new backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and modern development practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Contribute to code quality, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java development.
- Strong experience with JSP, Servlets, and MySQL.
- Proficiency with Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).
- Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud infrastructure operations.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have
- Experience with email marketing systems, deliverability, or message queue processing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
