Experienced PHP developer

Position Summary:     
           
Our company are experts in the offshore labour support arena and are looking for a skilled PHP/SQL Web Developer to shape and deliver development projects. The successful candidate will be qualified and have experience of Web development, elements of Project Management and Business Analysis Experience across a Telecommunications or Technology environment will be highly advantageous.
 
The post holder will be required to make amendments to the code already built and will be expected to take a proactive approach to working with the companies clients, we take the satisfaction of our clients very seriously and only hire the best of the best.
  
Key Responsibilities:
 
· Responsible for the development and management of legacy applications
· Development of solutions which span Business to Customer and Business to Business
· Develop and Integrate back end applications and business processes
· Will be responsible for the implementation of end-to-end software delivery process within the ‘web world’, working with 3rd party System Integrators and product vendors
· Primary contact within the business to advise on the structure of information content held on web-based systems and ensure it is presented in an accessible and usable manner
· Support the client’s live websites by enhancing and working with content editors / owners to update content on a regular basis to ensure the latest information is available and analyse and help design future web deliveries and/or changes to existing systems
· Help to drive the adoption of collaboration, knowledge management and document management through implementation and promotion of tools, communication of capabilities and measurement of usage. This includes requirements from operational users within the business.
 
Relevant Skills and Experience:
 
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
 
· High-level information architecture skills
· EXCELLENT understanding in PHP frameworks ( symfony, CakePHP Etc.)
· Experience in HTML, CSS and content management tools 
· Good general understanding of application servers and IIS
· EXCELLENT knowledge and track record in MYSQL, MSSQL and stored procedures
· Good understanding of technical english
· Proven Track records in large scale platform deployments with unrivalled ability to self-manage, and work on own initiative to the benefit of the
customer
· Ability to move mountains in order to meet deadline where needed
· Proven ability to document work and excellent code commenting skills
· Excellent English skill both written and spoken
 
Desirable Skills and Experience:

· Appreciation of basic Business Analysis will be advantageous
· Appreciation of development lifecycle will be advantageous
· Appreciation of database technology, web standards, accessibility issues and usability best practices
· Working knowledge of SEO and related subjects
