Engineering Office Fortan B.V. is a Dutch based design and consultancy firm and specializes in technical services for the highest demanding industrial clients.

Fortan’s activities consist of designing industrial installations such as: complex steel constructions for onshore and offshore projects, biomass sludge drying plants, bulk handling projects, piping of process installations, etc. Projects are mostly long-term and always challenging and impactful. Through these challenging projects, we develop our people - who transform complex and creative ideas into reality.

Engineering Office Fortan B.V has an office in Bucharest Romania and Chisinau Republic of Moldova where at this moment a group of young mechanical engineers successfully participate in projects using a modern computer network and advanced design applications.

For our commissions in offshore machine and structural engineering we would like to expand our Chisinau team with an experienced, ambitious, enthusiastic: Designer / engineer

Function description:

• Working in lead design, detail modeling, and drafting in Autodesk CAD software Inventor and AutoCAD, generating and managing assembly / general layouts and workshop drawings based on schematic and conceptual design
• Designing and developing conceptual, technical, and working projects in dredging industry, using CAD software, based on experiences from previous projects and competitive products
• Actively contributing in reviewing and sharing opinions on the draft standards, proposals, and innovations regarding individual components and whole assemblies
• Ensuring the design’s compliance with technical specifications, standards, norms of labor protection, and safety requirements
• Study and analysis of all source design documentation for its use in design and construction
• Participation in inspections and reporting of built constructions based on detail design
• Calculation of weight and listing of materials

Profile of candidate:

• University degree – Mechanical Engineering
• Hands on experience working with AutoCAD, Inventor
• 3+ years of dredging engineering experience
• Excellent command of English in speaking as well as in writing
• Consistent and accurate in working and thinking methods
• A self-motivated professional capable to set goals and respect tight deadlines
