DESIGN MANAGER

RESPONSIBLE FOR : DESIGNER

Qualification:

B. Sc in Civil Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Design with 3 years in management.
Knowledge of AUTOCAD, 3D MAX, Photoshop.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Clarify the design ambiguities in tender documents
Preparing detailed design plan for each project
Collection and review of design inputs
Assignment of design team
Clarification of the design ambiguities face by the Draughtsman
Notifying Division Manager / Manager (Metal Works) for any design complications / changes / variations
Coordination with client / consultant for any design ambiguities and complications
Chairing the design meetings
Approval of the final design
Attending Major Meetings with client / consultants
Assignment of specified tasks to Draughtsman
Monitoring of the design progress as per as the design plan
Updating the design plan as per design progress & change
Coordination with different departments
Approving & forwarding the drawings to Installation Manager for the submittal and approval from client / consultant
Ensuring the client / consultant comments are reviewed and incorporated
Ensuring design is meeting the design requirements
Design validation
Conducting Internal Design Progress Meetings
Forwarding the final approved drawings to the Production Manager
Ensuring customer complaints are attended and implanting curative and corrective action
Setting the objectives for the Design Department & Implementing strategies for the achievement
Providing training to design team
Ensuring the Effective implementation of QMS and providing Induction training for new design employee
