CPP Finance Associate

The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) seeks Moldovan candidates to fill in the temporary position of Finance Associate (FA) for IREX/CPP. Sponsored by US Government though the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Moldova Citizen Participation Program (CPP) is a five-year program to assist citizens in using democratic process and individual initiative to improve living and social conditions in local communities throughout Moldova.
The IREX Moldova Citizen Participation Program is searching for a temporary Finance Associate (FA). The FA is responsible for providing all financial functions and actions CPP. In the event of a program extension, it is possible that the position of Finance Associate could be extended.
Duties:
 Prepares Expense Reports
 Verifies all financial reports
 Conducts monitoring visits to contractors and subgrantees
 Ensures IREX procurement policies are met
 Assures timely payments to the vendors and subgrantees
 Assists Administrative and Finance Manager
 Other duties as assigned


Desired Requirements:
•
 Accounting degree
 Working knowledge of Moldovan legal/fiscal requirements
 1 year experience
 Strong computer skills
 Knowledge of USAID fiscal policies and regulations preferred
 Ability to travel within Moldova
 Fluency (written and oral) in Romanian and English required; Russian preferred.
 Flexibility, team spirit, enthusiasm for CPP objectives
