COBOL - SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Required skills:
Technical:
- Good COBOL programming experience
- A solid understanding of database design issues
- Detailed knowledge of SQL database creation and access
- Understanding of iSeries/AS400 operating system
- Solid understanding of the full development life cycle

Other:
- Computer science degree
- Good knowledge of English and Romanian (written and speaking)
- Team-working
- Availability to travel abroad from time to time

Responsibilities and tasks to be performed
- Create and articulate technical designs
- Develop and maintain COBOL code and DB2 database tables
- Locate and fix defects
- Report to team lead and project manager
- Receive knowledge transfer from current COBOL developers
