Mid‑Level / Senior C++ Developer – Secure Decentralised Data Storage (Remote, Moldova)

Their system fragments and encrypts data, distributing it across multiple secure storage units worldwide, ensuring seamless availability and recovery even in extreme scenarios. Integration into existing IT systems is straightforward, and scalability is supported as user needs grow. Clients range from startups to enterprises seeking sovereignty and high resilience in data protection. 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated C++ Developer to work on core components of the company’s proprietary storage platform. This role involves building features for high-performance systems dealing with encrypted data fragmentation, orchestrated distribution, and reliable restoration, all based on in-house infrastructure (no CSP usage).

Technical Environment
- Language: Modern C++ (C++11 onward)
- Databases: SQL-based storage (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Infrastructure: Custom-built private infrastructure (no AWS, Azure, or other CSP)
- Platform: Linux environment, optionally Dockerized
- DevOps & CI/CD: Git, testing frameworks, continuous delivery pipelines

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance core backend components responsible for data encryption, segmentation, and retrieval
- Work on SQL-backed services that manage metadata, storage indexing, and audit logs
- Optimise systems for high performance, fault tolerance, and minimal latency
- Collaborate with product and security engineers to meet stringent compliance and resiliency goals
- Participate in architectural design reviews, automated testing, and documentation
- Embrace a learning mindset, rapid adaptation and self-driven technical growth are essential

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of experience in production software engineering
- Strong duo of skills in modern C++ and SQL databases, especially in performance-sensitive contexts
- Comfortable working on in-house infrastructure systems, with zero reliance on public cloud providers
- Highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a lean, agile team
- Passionate about security and sovereignty in data handling
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus, not mandatory

Location & Contract Details
- Hired via Employer-of-Record (EoR) service in Moldova
- Remote-first role, with flexibility for hybrid collaboration
