Advisor

The German Development Cooperation (GIZ) through the project “Capacity Development for Regional and Cross-Border Cooperation in the Republic of Moldova” is currently looking for full time advisor, who will offer support to the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC), in the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube region.

► Duties and responsabilities

• To analyse the existing information on EUSDR
• To collect information about current situation of the Danube Strategy and verify information about potential activities of relevance in the Republic of Moldova;
• To assist in development of relevant national documents facilitating strategic planning processes;
• To offer informational assistance and administrative support for regional cooperation for EUSDR with emphasize on the priority area 9 - To invest in people and skills for Moldova but also other priorities if requested;
• To offer assistance to the MRDC in the process of regional development and cooperation with other partners of the Danube countries, the EU and other relevant institutions;
• To be part of network for sustainable development of the Danube region;
• To develop regional development and building prosperity in the Danube Region with international, cross-border focus;
• To participate at identification and synthesis of best practices and lessons learned directly linked to Danube Strategy goals and activities;
• To facilitate the process of implementation and generation of ideas;
• To work with national and international experts and coordinate the national position of the RM to the steering meetings; ensure the process of coordination of the the national position of the RM to the steering meetings;
• To facilitate the organization of roundtable discussions, press conferences, briefing sessions, interviews;;
• To elaborate periodical reports, including recommendations for MRDC;
• To provide with useful information the MDRC, RDAs (reports, documents, ex. of best practices, etc.);
• Other related tasks.


► Profile
 Employment criteria
• University degree (regional development, political sciences, technical, public administration, other);
• At least 2 year of relevant work experience;
• Very good computer skills: MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint, Internet;
• Analytical skills (an excellent written communication skill, with analytic capacity and ability to synthesize outputs and relevant findings for the preparation of reports);
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to foster networks and partnerships;
• The candidate must also possess a good knowledge of the European Union environment;
• Strong Romanian and English language skills. German is an asset;
• Moldovan nationality.


 Assets
• Good knowledge of Danube Strategy;
• Similar experience in assisting government institutions within projects funded by international organizations
• Communicative, open minded, and a good team worker;
• Well organized, able to self manage and prioritize the tasks.


 Available: 8 months (at Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, Chisinau)
