Media Program in Moldova (MPM), implemented by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is looking for a candidate to fill the position of “Administrative Manager” in Chisinau.

The Media Program in Moldova supports the development of a network of regional independent television stations providing citizens with a sustainable source of objective local news and information. The project raises professional skills at the stations, improves their performance as well-managed businesses, and ensures distribution of local and regional news across Moldova.

Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
Provide general administrative support for the Media Program in Moldova;
Research and analyze goods and services provided on the market, prepare bids analysis for them when required;
Human Resources Administration including staff time attendance, vacations and sick leaves tracking;
Property Management including maintenance of inventory records;
Prepare contracts and assists the MPM Finance and Grants Manager in dealing with Subgrantees, partners and consultants;
Assist to ensure sub-grantees successfully report their cost share contributions with their Subgrantee Agreements provisions;
Help identify cost share opportunities and joint activities for the Media Program in Moldova from other NGOs working in the media sector.

Qualifications:
Basic understanding of the Media Program in Moldova. Basic understanding and organizational development areas (strategic planning; financial management, project design, implementation, monitoring, grant writing; media and outreach etc.).
Strong computer skills are required.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and carry out multi-task;
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work individually and as part of a team;
Previous USAID experience and/or IREX experience will be considered as a strong asset;
Knowledge of basic administrative and finance principles and formats (budget, financial statements) or basic legal knowledge.
Fluency (written and oral) in Romanian, Russian and English required.
Flexibility, team spirit, enthusiasm for the Media Program objectives and an understanding of democratic principles and processes.
