(PFP/WIF Manager), FSN-7; FP-7*
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The position will include such duties as: coordinating PFP program with Ministry Of Defense, US Embassy, US Unified Commands, Partnership Liaison Team, and PFP Partner Countries; work with MOD to create annual, quarterly and specific event WIF budgets; analyzing budget execution/reconciliation and providing amendments as needed; providing event support/translation for all PFP events held in Moldova and providing logistical support (tickets, visa issues, lodging, travel voucher, etc) for all PFP events.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. College education is required.
2. In order to meet the FSN-7 (Trainee/Developmental) level the applicant must have:
Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in administrative office management.
3. Level 3 (good working knowledge) in written and spoken English is required. Level 4 (fluent) Romanian and Russian is also required. (Please indicate in the Application form/resume the level of knowledge of all three languages)
4. The incumbent must have a general understanding of military operations, mil-to-mil programs. Must have a general understanding of US national security policy, objectives, and methods.
5. Incumbent must be able to perform accurate and rapid consecutive interpretation in high-pressure environments. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is required. Must be able to perform a broad range of tasks with little to no advance notice.
SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, Eligible Family Members and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that all candidates address the required qualifications above in the application.
The Embassy will give all applicants full consideration. Applicants should be aware that having a close relative working at the Embassy in any capacity that could create a conflict of interest would be considered a disqualifying factor.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees of the extended Mission serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed Not-Ordinarily Residents (NOR) hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
