Accountant in a trucking company

- Monitoring accounts receivable aging reports to track overdue payments from brokers. Following up with the broker's accounts payable to collect overdue payments. This may involve sending reminder notices, making collection calls, and negotiating payment plans to ensure timely receipt of outstanding balances.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments received for loads delivered. This could involve comparing the agreed-upon rates with the actual payments received, identifying reasons for short pays (e.g., damaged goods, delivery delays), and communicating with brokers, drivers, or internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintaining detailed records of aging reports, short pays, collection efforts, and payment resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.
- Communication with drivers on daily matters and assisting them with required information when necessary.
- Programs used: ProTransport, Excel
- Knowing English is a must.
