About the job
Smart Glass Technologies is a leading manufacturer and distributor of smart glass and smart film across the US and Canada. We partner with architects, interior designers, general contractors, glazing companies, AV integrators, and developers on high‑end commercial and residential projects.

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who understands (or wants to deeply understand) the construction, AV, and architectural world and can open doors with decision‑makers on these projects. This role is ideal for a driven, commercially minded professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and working on visible, design‑driven projects.

You will be the first point of contact for many of our B2B clients, qualifying leads and setting up opportunities for our sales team on projects ranging from corporate offices, banks, hotels, hospitals, and universities to luxury residences.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect and qualify leads among architects, interior designers, general contractors, AV integrators, glazing companies, and developers in the US and Canada.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new project opportunities and nurture existing relationships.
  • Understand project context (type of building, stage of construction, budget, stakeholders) and identify where smart glass/smart film can be specified.
  • Schedule qualified meetings and product demos for the senior sales and account management team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized CRM pipeline, logging all activities, notes, and next steps.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, estimating, and project teams to ensure a smooth handoff from lead to project.
  • Follow up on inbound inquiries from architects, designers, and contractors, ensuring fast, professional communication.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products, installation methods, and common use cases in construction and AV environments.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a B2B sales or SDR / business development role. Experience in construction, AV, glazing, building materials, architecture/design, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with how construction and AV/design projects run: bids, specs, submittals, timelines, and the roles of architects, GCs, subs, and integrators.
  • Comfortable with high‑activity outbound work (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and disciplined daily follow‑up.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when speaking with architects, designers, project managers, and company owners.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical and aesthetic aspects of smart glass/smart film and explain them in simple, value‑driven language.
  • Experience working with a CRM system (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Organized, self‑driven, and comfortable working with a distributed team across the US and Canada.
  • Upper‑intermediate or better English; additional languages are a plus.
