Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and policies that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of our drivers, vehicles, and cargo, as well as maintaining our company's commitment to excellence.

Qualifications
- Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including hours of service, drug and alcohol testing, vehicle maintenance, and driver qualifications.
- Knowledge of ALL requirements for DQ files are required
- Scheduling drug and alcohol tests, random selection and reasonable suspicion tests
- Honor company's safety, drug and alcohol polices
- Obtain permits and file quarterly IFTA, NM, KY, OR, and NY
- Provide safety training and education to drivers and staff, including orientation, ongoing training, and refresher courses.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training documentation.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
