Position description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Country Manager to launch and develop SuperMart operations in Moldova from zero. You will be responsible for launching the local presence, building a top team and sustainably growing sales. It is a strategic role, but also very hands-on – ideal for someone who loves to build and deliver results quickly.

Key responsibilities

Strategic leadership & business

Implementation of the company’s strategic plan in Moldova, aligned with HQ objectives
Sustainable revenue growth and constantly challenging the status quo
Monitoring local trends, competition and legislative changes, with proactive strategy adaptation

Operational management

Coordination of all departments (sales, marketing, logistics, customer service, compliance)
Compliance with HQ policies and local legislation
Budget management, P&L and reporting to headquarters

Team leadership

Recruitment and leadership of an outstanding local team (you choose the people)
Creating a culture of accountability, innovation and customer orientation
Training, coaching and continuous professional development

External relations

Representation of the company to partners, associations, authorities and the press
Development and maintenance of relationships with key clients, suppliers and partners
Excellent collaboration with headquarters teams

Mandatory requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in management positions with full responsibility
Proven experience in scaling operations, business development and successful launches
Very good knowledge of the business environment, culture and legal framework in Moldova
Exceptional leadership, communication and negotiation skills
Romanian and English at fluent level (written and spoken)
Higher education (Business, Management or similar field)
