SAP S/4HANA Internal Support Specialist (Application & Process Owner)

About the Role
We are implementing SAP S/4HANA to replace our ERP system, supporting our wire harness manufacturing operations for the automotive industry. We are looking for an experienced SAP professional to join internally as the primary point of contact for day-to-day system support, troubleshooting, and configuration after go-live. You will work closely with our external implementation partner during hypercare and knowledge transfer and then take ownership of the system going forward — escalating only the most complex issues to external support. This is a hands-on role combining functional configuration, incident troubleshooting, and coordination between business users, IT, and our external SAP partner.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the first point of contact for SAP S/4HANA issues raised by internal users (production, logistics, engineering, quality, finance, controlling);
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across core modules (Materials Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, Sales at minimum);
• Execute minor to moderate configuration changes following internal change management;
• Monitor and troubleshooting Electronic Data Interchange interfaces with other processes;
• Manage the relationship with the external implementation partner: log tickets, validate fixes, track escalations;
• Maintain and expand internal documentation (WRICEF inventory, interface specs);
• Support master data governance and data quality across modules;
• Participate in ongoing enhancements, minor projects, and periodic system updates;
• Train and support internal key users/power users across departments.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP support;
• Solid functional configuration knowledge in Materials Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, Sales;
• Experience with change management control processes;
• Ability to read ABAP dumps/traces and communicate effectively with developers (coding not required);
• Experience troubleshooting Electronic Data Interchange interfaces;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure during production-impacting incidents
• Communicate in English;
