Open Deck Dispatcher (heavy haul)

About the company:
We are a logistics company specializing in freight transportation across North America. We work with different types of equipment and provide efficient shipment coordination and reliable support throughout the entire transportation process.

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Haul Dispatcher who has strong knowledge of open deck operations and is confident working with oversized and specialized freight.

What you'll be doing:

• Sourcing and booking "open deck freight" (Flatbed, Step Deck, Double Drop, RGN);
• Handling oversized loads: analyzing dimensions and weight, arranging permits, planning routes, and coordinating escorts;
• Negotiating rates and transportation terms with brokers;
• Managing shipments from pickup to delivery and providing support to drivers throughout the entire process;
• Resolving issues on the road and ensuring smooth transportation operations;
• Working with Rate Confirmations, BOLs, and other required documentation;
• Maintaining accurate load information in company systems.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Haul Dispatcher - required;
• Hands-on experience with open deck equipment: Flatbed, Step Deck, Double Drop, RGN;
• English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher (daily communication and negotiations with brokers);
• Strong understanding of permits, oversized/over-dimensional regulations, and state-specific requirements;
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure the best possible rates;
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems effectively.
