Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Officer

At iute Moldova, we recognize the pivotal role of the AML and Compliance Officer in sustaining the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance. In our Moldova office, this position involves policy development, risk assessment, training, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proactive monitoring of industry trends.

What will you do?

• Develop, implement, and update AML and compliance policies, procedures, and controls to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of existing controls. Recommend and implement corrective actions as needed;
• Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends. Ensure that the organization's AML and compliance programs are updated to reflect these changes;
• Provide comprehensive training and guidance to employees on AML and compliance matters;
• Investigate and report suspicious activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AML and compliance considerations into business processes and new initiatives;
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities and coordinate the preparation of required documentation;
• Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, proactively identifying potential compliance issues.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications is a plus;
• Proven experience in AML and compliance roles within the financial services industry;
• Strong knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and best practices;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken);
• Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
