Middle/Senior DevOps

We are looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of Middle/Senior DevOps.

For our Chisinau engineering unit - a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer, with a solid background in analyzing, designing, and implementing an infrastructure on cloud infrastructure and continuously driving it toward automation, stability, scalability, and security goals.

Contribute with your expertise to improve deployment time and manage processes of instances, users, software configuration, and testing. Implement automated tools for build, configuration management, continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring, according to the highest standards and best practices. 

Responsibilities:

• Create & Maintain: docker containers and platform Kubernetes;
• Ansible knowledge, Configuration Management;
• Working within Continuous Delivery or Continuous Deployment processes;
• Deploy application functionality in Test, Acceptance, and Production;
• OS patching;
• Participate in DR/BCP plans;
• Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI;
• Working in an Agile environment;
• Track, monitor, and analyzes defects to mitigate the impact on the project release and ensure that the system is deployed to meet the level of reliability set by the customer on the correct infrastructure;
• Investigate, analyze, and document production incidents, according to SLA agreement and urgency;
• Work closely with all parties necessary to solve problems;
• The problem management process for incidents;
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the application is functioning as expected;
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures in your area of support;
• Contribute to the automation and optimization of processes and flows, to prevent human error and increase processing speed and the ability to detect errors;
• Test production bug fixes and new developments, when needed;
• Working in an Agile environment;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience;
• Linux Administration knowledge: install and secure OS, patching, solve security vulnerabilities;
• Understanding of key DevOps responsibilities and concepts(Git/Gitlab, Bitcucket);
• Familiarity with Build and Release strategies;
• Experience with monitoring tools(Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK);
• Others: Nginx, HaProxy, Apache2, SSH, web proxy
• Ability to effectively interface with a technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels;
• Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;
• Hands-on experience in process automation, technology efficiency, and effectiveness;
• Excellent technical documentation skills;
• Positive attitude and oriented towards solving problems;
• The ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as well;
• Ability to work within the team and act as a mentor;
• Ability to work under strict deadlines;
• Open and friendly personality, as well as drive, initiative, problem-solving mindset, and excellent interpersonal and team-working skills;
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with scripts: Bash, Python, PHP;
• IaC: Ansible, Terraform, Fabric;
• Networking: UFW, iptables;
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper V;
• Experience with CI/ CD tools is a plus (Jenkins);
• Understanding of Agile / DevOps methodology is considered a plus;
• Azure DevOps knowledge is a plus.
