Linux Engineer

Orange Systems is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of Linux Engineer to work with our International Partners.

what you will be doing:

• Infrastructure Improvement: Continuously improve the current infrastructure landscape by automation and the use of new technologies.
• Operations and Support: Ensure excellent operations and support the team in building and expanding new systems and platforms.
• Lifecycle Management: Carry out life cycle management of systems and software.
• Customer Service: Enhance infrastructure delivery to our internal customers.
• Project Management: Carry projects from start to a maintainable solution, including knowledge sharing.

what we are looking for:

• Minimum of 4 years of practical experience as a Linux admin/engineer.
• Applicable Degree in IT or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux (Debian, Red Hat, and/or derivatives).
• Good knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PHP, Ruby, Python, GoLang).
• Hands-on experience with Puppet, CI/CD, CMDB, and Git for configuration management.
• Familiarity with services such as Apache, Tomcat, Bind, Unbound, DHCP, MySQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, etc.).
• Security knowledge in Kerberos, LDAP, Radius, Linux ACLs.
• Good working knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• General understanding of networking (firewalls, load balancers, routing).
• Experience in telecoms is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud products like Azure, Amazon AWS is a bonus.
• Hands-on experience with SAN storage platforms/configurations is a bonus.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a structured way.
• Adaptable and embracing of new challenges.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology.
