Junior BI Analyst (Power BI)

Job Description:

We’re looking for a specialist to build stable, clear, and scalable analytics reporting in Power BI for business teams (Marketing, Product, Finance) so decisions are driven by data—not intuition. In this role, you will work across the full analytics lifecycle: connecting data sources, building and optimizing data models, creating dashboards, and calculating key metrics.
You will ensure data accuracy, transparent metric logic, and a user-friendly experience for business stakeholders. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and continuously improve analytics. We’re looking for someone with strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of how data supports better business decisions.

So what will you be doing:

• Develop and maintain DAX measures for key business metrics (conversion, profitability, unit economics, ROI, etc.).
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for various business functions.
• Connect to and refresh data sources (DWH / Lakehouse / SQL).
• Prepare and optimize data models (relationships, fact and dimension tables).
• Monitor data accuracy and investigate discrepancies across reports.
• Improve report performance (model, measures, visuals).
• Support users by explaining metric logic and the reporting structure.
• Contribute to BI process standardization and naming conventions.
• Collaborate with analysts and business teams to gather and refine requirements.

Experience and skills required:

• Working knowledge of DAX (CALCULATE, FILTER, ALL, RELATED, time intelligence — basic to intermediate).
• Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Understanding of data modeling (star schema, relationships).
• Strong SQL skills (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY).
• Basic experience with DWH / Lakehouse / PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Power Query (M) for data cleansing and transformation.
• Understanding of key business metrics (margin, conversion, ROI, retention, unit economics).
• Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables).
• Understanding of data refresh and data quality principles.
