Avantaj Prim is an international full-cycle software development company founded in 2005, with a team of IT professionals developing software for clients worldwide. The company is looking for a Senior Database Administrator (MySQL) to bring expertise to their team and accelerate the development of a long-term fintech project that has already been in existence for 15 years.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring database instances.
- Identifying slow and heavy queries, and assisting developers in optimizing them.
- Participating in releases (reviewing commits related to database query changes, analyzing their performance in production, reviewing migration scripts, preventing database locks and downtime caused by them).
- Optimizing database configuration according to workload characteristics and type of load.
- Timely identification of server resource limitations and taking measures to resolve the situation.
Requirements:
- Experience with Percona MySQL.
- Practical experience with distributed, high-load DBMS.
- Linux experience sufficient for database administration.
- Ability to configure replication, redundancy, and database backups.
- Experience in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing database performance parameters, as well as supporting systems using databases.
- Experience in implementing monitoring systems and database performance testing.
- Mandatory use of AI tools (LLMs, AI assistants) in daily work for:
- analysis and optimization of SQL queries.
- faster identification of performance degradation causes.
- generation and validation of migration scripts.
- supporting database tuning decisions.
- English at a technical level.
- Russian at a speaking level.
Will be a significant advantage:
- Experience with Postgres.
- Experience with MongoDB.
