Tracking manager

We are a company that has been operating in the U.S. freight transportation market for over 15 years. We are currently expanding and seeking for a Tracking manager to join our team. This is a full time job. Please pay attention that the schedule is 2/2, night shifts from 2pm to 2am Chicago time

Key responsibilities:
- Monitor active loads from pickup to delivery
- Track driver location and ensure accurate check calls & updates
- Proactively identify risks (late arrival, delays, missed appointments)
- Communicate with drivers to ensure compliance with schedule
- Update brokers and customers on shipment status
- Escalate critical issues to Dispatch / Safety when needed
- Ensure all load updates are properly entered into TMS / tracking systems
- Verify required documents (BOL, POD, etc.) are received on time
- Follow internal SOPs and escalation protocols
- Log book and road assistance

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in U.S. trucking / logistics (tracking or dispatch support preferred)
- Understanding of load lifecycle (pickup → transit → delivery)
- Experience with tracking tools (MacroPoint, Samsara, ELD systems, etc.)
- Familiarity with TMS systems
- Strong English (written & spoken)
- Basic understanding of appointments, detention, and load requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to detect issues early and think proactively
- Good communication skills (drivers + brokers)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level of responsibility and discipline
- Ability to follow processes and escalate correctly
