Main responsibilities include:
- Preparation of test estimates.
- Preparation of system test plans.
- Creation of new test cases.
- Execution of manual and automated test cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review requirement and design documents to ensure their testability.
- Prepare written testing documentation (including test requirements, test strategies and plans, test cases, test reports)
- Perform functional and regression testing (including development of test data, defect management, impact assessments of proposed software changes).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software testing methodologies, standards, procedures and tools.
Qualifications/requirements:
The ideal applicant will be someone who can:
- Demonstrate ability to analyze software requirements, issues and risks to develop integrated software system test strategies, plans and test cases, and test data.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of various softwaretesting methods.
- Advanced written and oral skills in the English language.
- Experience with MS SQL Server highly desirable.
- Experience with Java Programming language desirable.
Technical Evaluation:

SolveIT Software is seeking a competent and experienced individual to take up a role as a Java programmer in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. The position will allow the candidate to create software applications to address challenging real-world business and industrial problems.
The candidate will need to be able to work as part of a team under the leadership of a project manager, to execute software implementation projects.
Duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively and efficiently carry out defined programming tasks in Java.
- Give time estimates for proposed programming tasks.
- Devise solution approaches by analytical thinking.
- GUI programming.
- DB interaction programming.
- Problem solving and development of basic algorithms to solve problems.
The successful candidate must be focused and disciplined and have a strong work ethic. They must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, in which continual improvement is expected of everyone. Towards this end they would be expected to participate in periodic code reviews, and actively participate in company meetings and workshops aimed at analysing and improving the way things are done.

Duties include:
- Analysing business requirements from a technical perspective and working out solution approaches for them.
- Managing and leading a team of software engineers and developers.
