JUNIOR JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

OVERVIEW:
The Java Software Engineer is an integral part of our engineering team, helping to the development of our innovative software products. The successful candidate will focus on learning the existing systems, and will participate to extend it as the business grows. The successful candidate must have Java knowledge, experience working with multi-tier applications, experience working with server-side web application software for functionality across multiple browser platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in Object Modeling.
  • Team Player / Raw Intelligence / Uncompromising integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
  • Agile Development & Continuous Integration experience is a plus

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop and document software components using best practices.
  • Contribute original ideas and architectural thinking.
  • Maintain and support current system and ongoing beta programs.
  • Perform code and design review.
  • Hand-on development and maintenance of software applications/components.

    COMPENSATION:

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong Java development skills: 2+ years in commercial hands-on Java software development.
  • Strong knowledge of Servlets, JSP, JSF, JDBC, Multi-threading.
  • Quick learner.
  • SVN / Ant / Maven knowledge.
  • JavaScript / DHTML / XHTML / XSLT / CSS / XML / XSD knowledge.
  • Team Player / Raw Intelligence / Uncompromising integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing needs of the business.
  • Experience in working with ORM frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle, Agile Development practices is a plus.
  • Drools, Groovy, Grails, Spring, OSGi experience is a plus.
